"It may be a crazy life, but, it is OUR life."

Seeing that Kate (Jon and Kate Plus Eight) was not going to be using this line anytime soon, I thought I would steal it.

My house is a mess, I am very behind in returning calls or emails, I forgot to pay my heating bill, schoolwork is piling up and I cannot keep awake past 9pm....... In short, I am having the time of my life.
Dress Up with Hannah!

It is never too early to learn how to walk in high heels!
Adorable!

Sassy!
Precious!
My little diva is already quite fashion conscious. Whenever I wear a pair of Little Mismatched Sox, not a word of a lie, Aimée runs pointing too my feet and shouting "Oh No!!!... Oh No!!!.... Oh No!!!" I swear it happens each and every time. Are they really that bad?

Aimée likes to help herself to my wallet.

"Oh oh..."

This next picture cracks me up. It reminds me of a well known Canadian painting. Can you guess?

To Prince Edward Island by Alex Colville

Aimée now goes to A Gym Tale every Saturday morning. It is very exciting! Aimée made her first assisted somersault on the weekend.
A Gym Tale

Rideau Canal, Beaver Tails, hot chocolate and Auntie Jude.

Does it get any better than this?

We went tobogganing on the biggest hill our friend Tracey could possibly find anywhere last week. Do I look as exhausted as I felt? Pulling up a toddler (not to mention my own sorry butt) was no easy task.

Aimée is loving her new daycare and so am I!
Aimée takes her job of feeding Jackie (Liam and Aidan's guinea pig) very seriously.

We went to Kingston last weekend to celebrate Sadie's 3rd birthday. It was every little girl's dream birthday party. Perhaps Jacqueline would consider going into throwing me a pink princess birthday party too? Pwease?
We got to meet Bella and her entourage (AKA Family).
Aimée adored Bella's big sister Elizabeth.

WARNING!

Who would have thought potty training could be dangerous? Aimée got a goose egg on her forehead! On Sunday, my eager little pumpkin sat enthusiastically on the potty for what must have seemed like an eternity for a two year old. I could just see the wheels turning inside her little head. She had the "I-just-don't-get-it" look on her face. She leaned over to check things out for herself. Nothing. She leaned even further... and further. Are you getting the visual? Kaboom!! The little miss fell head first off the potty and landed with her tiny bottom up in the air.

On another note. Aimée is still just as in love with the Wiggles as ever. She insists on taking these darn DVD cases everywhere. Here she is taking her beloved friends for a little stroll. (The picture is not great, but it gives you an idea of what I am up against.)

Happy New Year!!!

We celebrated New Year's Eve with Cindy and Hannah. We had a fantastic time. The girls were dressed in their best princess gear and had a tea/dinner party. I loved spending the evening just hanging out with the girls. Truthfully, I did not have any other prospects for New Year's Eve. But, it really does not matter. Even if I had been invited out by a handsome arabian prince, I would have declined. I
loved my evening just the way it was.

Today, Aimée helped me shovel the driveway. Then, she did a bit of sliding down the snowbank. It was her first time doing any kind of sliding and she loved it. See for yourself!!!!

Aimée also likes playing with her new train set from Santa.

We had a visit from Judith this afternoon. It is her 40th b-day today! We were so excited to wish her a happy birthday (especially because she turns 40 before me!!!).

Aimée even shared her grapes with the birthday girl.

Happy New Year to all of you. May all your dreams come true in 2010!

The Gift That Keeps On Giving

Several days before Christmas, I forgot to close the door to one of the storage spaces in the basement. It did not take long for Aimée to find some of her gifts. She went absolutely nuts when she saw the new Wiggles DVDs. She was ecstatic. I just didn't have the heart to take them away. For the next several days, she carried them everywhere. She ate, slept and played with one hand clinging to a case. On Christmas Eve, I wrapped the DVDs anyway and put them under the tree. Well, Aimée just about lost her mind with excitement when she discovered the DVDs once again. She cheered and danced. I nearly peed myself laughing. It was so much fun, I decided to try and do it again Boxing day. Again, I wrapped up the DVDs and gave them to her. Sure makes for an inexpensive Christmas... I just have to give her the same gift over and over again.

Here she is dancing with her beloved DVDs Christmas morning.

Here she is unwrapping them for the third time.

Here she is unwrapping them for a fourth time.

Is there anything more entertaining than messing with young minds?

Two years ago today...

After a very long wait, I got the most amazing call ever. A beautiful 6 week old baby girl from Hoa Binh was waiting for me to take her home. What a rush of emotion that special day was. I will never forget the joy in my heart when I saw my daughter's sweet little face for the very first time!

Hurray for the Holidays!

I know... I know... I am quite behind in my blogging. Life has been a bit crazy around here. Thank heavens for mothers. My mom came down last week to help me out. It has been such a treat. Aimée just loved it. Here she is dancing for joy (AKA showing off for Mémère)!!!

As you can see, she would make a fantastic wedding date. She has the chicken dance down pat.

Here we are in November with Hannah and Cindy at the Christmas parade.

Then there was Liam's second birthday.

Then came Hannah's second birthday (starring Elmo). Pictures to come.

Aimée loves Hannah. She finally can say her name, "Nana". Here they are dancing up a storm one December evening.

Aimée is starting to show some interest in the potty.

We had some Christmas photos taken by Lana. (The beautiful dresses come from Sadie.)
"This little light of mine,

I'm gonna let it shine....."

Aimée and her FAVOuRITE friend Chicken Elmo.

On one cold Sunday morning, Aimée got to brunch with all of the "young" cousins in Ottawa.

We had so much fun making Christmas cards at a card making party hosted by Julie. We had a visit with le Père Noël.
A picture is worth a thousand words!

Someone please make this stop!!!!

Today is our first day of Christmas holidays. I am drunk with happiness! I am looking forward to good times with Aimée, family and friends. I plan on living in my pajamas and eating and drinking like there is no tomorrow. I hope you too have many wonderful holiday plans with loved ones. Pick up your drink and let's toast to a very splendid Christmas!
Cheers!!!!!!
